What is ?

is a plotting software designed to make plotting of data within a ternary diagram easy, and is especially well suited for applications in geosciences.

works under any Apple computer running MacOS X version 10.2 or better. To create your own ternary plots, you will need a vectorial graphic software (such as Adobe Illustrator or Deneba Canvas). was entirely conceived under MacOS X and is thus the most comprehensive and easy to use software for ternary plot diagrams in the Earth sciences available for this platform.

With you can easily import your data as Tab seperated files ("txt" files) or copy-paste them from spreadsheet softwares, and then plot them directly within your favorite ternary diagram, save your plot and data for further use, and export your graphs as PDF data to use them in publications, web publication or else to share them with your colleagues.

comes currently with some 30 standards diagrams ready to use, in fields as diversified as micropaeontology, mineralogy, clay mineralogy, magmatic petrology and sedimentology. Better yet: you can easily create your favorite standard diagrams for . You can then send them so that they will be included in future releases of the plot database.

What you can do with ?
The basic concept behind the software is that each file is divided into two windows, one data window and one associated plot window (see below). is not suited for typing in data series, so you need to import your data either from a file or using copy-paste. Once imported, the data are plotted in a ternary diagram and can be further modified.

With you can:

  1. Plot as many data file as you need. Importing data is as easy as drag and drop or copy-paste.
  2. Plot your data directly within a ternary diagram of your choice. Several tenth of diagrams are already available, and more will be available soon (see "creating and sharing your own ternary diagrams").
  3. Work with your data, creating sub-series, merging data series, searching for trends in your data set, etc...
  4. Export your plots as PDF to easily share them or modified them in a vectorial program, thus making figure preperation for publications straightforward. Exporting PDF is easy, simply drag and drop or copy-paste your diagram into your favorite application.
  5. Save your plots and the data files in a single file and thus modified them at a later time...
